A community storytelling project sharing real-life stories of families from our culturally and linguistically diverse communities on the journey of embracing their queer loved ones
Our purpose is to share ordinary everyday stories from our culturally and linguistically diverse communities, showing how support and embrace of LGBTQ+ people from their family strengthens family bonds, cultural connection and enables them to thrive and flourish.
Stories of family belonging, told in our own words and languages, shared with our own communities.
The project has launched after receiving a grant from City of Sydney. We are collaborating with various LGBTQ+ support and advocacy groups serving various CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) communities to find families, and capture and share their stories of support and embrace.
